Kesari Halva
This is a very simple dish to cook. Following ingredient are
used
Ingredients (Serves 4 People)
1.Rava (Indian cream of Wheat)
2.Pure Ghee
3.Saffron
4.Raisins and Cashews
5.Dry Coconut flakes
Place a frying pan on the burning stove. To that add a table spoon
of ghee. Then add a cup of Rava Use a spatula to stir it from time
to time so that it is well roasted with a brownish tinge. Now take
the Rava from the pan and place it in a clean container. Now add a
cup of water to frying pan. Let it boil. To the boiling water, add
roasted Rava. Thoroughly mix it to make a thin paste. Lower
the flames/ heat. Let the Rava slowly cook in the water. As it
becomes thick, add two table spoons of Ghee. And garnish it with
ghee cooked raisins and cashews. Sprinkle dry coconut flakes just
prior to serving.
Lemon Rice
This South Indian rice dish takes approx 30 minutes to make.
It can be eaten by itself or with Coconut Chutney
Ingredients (Serves 4 People)
1.One cup of rice
2.Mustard seed, one chopped green chili, 1/2 chopped onion
3.Lemon juice
4.Cilantro
Cook the rice and keep it separately. Then take a wok or frying pan.
Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once the oil is warm, add mustard
seeds and onions. Let the onion cook in the oil. After that add
chopped chilies. To this add the cooked rice and one tea spoon of
lemon juice and a tea spoon of salt. Garnish with finely chopped
cilantro.
